There are also free add-ons for Firefox (LeechBlock) and Chrome (Chrome Nanny) that do the same thing. They can either block the entire ‘net, or just certain sites, which can be USEFUL if you want to avoid Twitter/Tumblr/Facebook/Livejournal/email/etc., but you still want to be able to get to Wikipedia or Google to do some quick research.
